i want to know about raising koi, because i heard you can sell them for a lot of money once they’re big. i just need as much information as possible.

you can buy one for as low as 25-50 pesos each depending on the pattern and class. hey will grow faster in a large pond and be sure to make he water deep in order for them to be able to use their tail muscle causing them to grow faster. feeding them hikari spirulina will also make them grow faster and enhance their color. tetra food is also good.
Koi need a very large pond with very clean water and a lot of plants such as elodea, water lilies, cattails, water iris, duck weed….
They need a variety of food including high quality Koi pellets, fruits and vegetables, and insect larvae and plant matter from the pond.
I have a good sized goldfish pond that was originally going to be a Koi pond but I found out after building it that they need a much larger space than I could provide.
Young Koi range in prices from a few dollars to 40 or 50 depending on the quality of the breed. Imported Koi are typically priced higher.
they can sell for tens of thousands of dollars IF you have a really nice fish and IF you take really good care of it and IF you bring it to japan and win one of their koi show championships. if you get to be grand champion then we’re talking about serious money… big ifs…read up on the subject, learn the various types, look at some pictures to see what are considered good qualities.. then select a few fish at around 4 – 6 inches. at that size you get an idea of what they’re gonna grow up to be and the price will still be reasonable.. raise them as pets. they become quite tame and will let you pet them.. grow them big and if you still want to sell them, you might get a good price because jumbo koi can always get a better price as long as they conform to the standards.. the most important part is, enjoy raising them. take good care of them and they’ll outlive your great-grand-kids
Heavy filter system. Nutritious food. Lots of space. They grow pretty fast.
